Chef’s Cart Product Use Agreement & Safety Guidelines

The Chef’s Cart is a handcrafted, heavy-duty kitchen workstation built to store tools, cookware, and appliances while providing a strong, reliable surface for food preparation and everyday kitchen use.

For safe operation and long-term durability, please read and follow the guidelines below.

By purchasing, assembling, moving, or using this product, the owner and all users agree to use the Chef’s Cart responsibly and according to these instructions.

1. Product Awareness

The Chef’s Cart is constructed from solid materials and includes moving components.

Because of its weight and design features, improper use may result in damage or injury.

Features that require care include:

  • A knife storage drawer intended for kitchen knives or tools
  • A flip-up extension that must be properly supported before use and may fall if not secured
  • A heavy structure (approximately 350 lbs) that must be moved carefully
  • Hinged surfaces, drawers, and sliding components
  • Edges, handles, drawer fronts and corners capable of causing injury

This product is intended for normal household kitchen use only. It is not intended for commercial, industrial, or institutional use. Improper use, misuse, or careless handling may result in property damage, personal injury, serious harm, or possibly even death.

2. Safe Use Guidelines

To help ensure safe use, follow these guidelines:

  • Do not climb, sit, or stand on the cart.
  • Do not allow children to climb on, hang from, or play on the cart.
  • Always confirm the flip-up extension is fully supported before placing weight on it.
  • Use caution when opening drawers containing knives or sharp tools.
  • Keep hands clear of hinges, slides, and moving parts.
  • Move the cart slowly and carefully due to its weight.
  • Always place the cart on a flat, level, stable surface.
  • Do not overload drawers, shelves, or extensions.
  • When the flip-up extension is raised, do not allow children or anyone to walk beneath the raised extension to prevent head injury.The cart is not designed to support body weight or to be used as a ladder, step, or seating surface.

3. Children and Supervision

The Chef’s Cart is not a toy.

Children should be supervised at all times when near the cart, especially when drawers, knives, or the extension surface are in use.

The owner is responsible for safe use in the home.

4. Modifications or Alterations

Any modification, alteration, improper assembly, or use outside the intended purpose may affect the stability and safety of the cart.

The manufacturer is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from changes made after purchase.

5. Responsibility of Use

The Chef’s Cart is a heavy, professional-grade workstation intended for normal household kitchen use.

By using this product, the owner and all users acknowledge that safe operation requires care, attention, and proper handling.

Use of Chef’s Cart means acceptance of responsibility for its safe use, movement, and storage.

6. Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the manufacturer and seller are not responsible for injury, damage, or loss resulting from:

  • Improper use
  • Failure to follow safety guidelines
  • Modifications or alterations
  • Negligent handling
  • Improper assembly or movement
  • Use outside normal household kitchen purposes
  • Use in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings

7. Warranty

All components of Chef’s Cart are covered for 3 years against defects in materials and workmanship.

As with any natural wood product, variations in grain, color, and movement are normal and not considered defects. Damage from misuse—such as excessive moisture, heat, or cutting directly on the surface—is not covered.

Our goal is to stand behind the quality of what we build, while ensuring clear expectations for long-term use.

8. Owner Acknowledgment

By purchasing, receiving, assembling, or using the Chef’s Cart, the owner confirms that they have read and understood this guide and agree to use the product safely and responsibly.
